Many of our parishioners may not be aware that for more than forty years there has been a ministry of well-trained and dedicated parishioners who quietly go out to augment the availability of priests in distributingn of Holy Communion outside the church.
What exactly do we do? It contains the Introductory Rite, Penitential Rite, readings from the Liturgy of the Word, a short scriptural reflection (as appropriate), Intercessory Prayers, distribution of the Eucharist, Prayer after Communion, and Last Blessing. We are also commissioned to distribute the Viaticum (distribution of the Eucharist to the dying) as well as a formal prayer service to those who are critically ill and at the point of death.
Our services can be obtained through the parish Pastoral Office (909) 861-7106 (preferred). Or, if the office is not open or staff is unavailable, then you are encouraged to contact Jack Ruehlman at (909) 837-8174 to obtain and schedule our
services.
If you feel you would like to make a difference in peoples’ lives, or perhaps take a more active part in the church, by physically serving others, we welcome your inquiry.
