Building On Faith
Since 1971, St. Denis Catholic Community has been a vibrant and inspirational center of worship, learning and service for our faith-filled community. As we look to the future, we are committed to Life Long Faith Formation which involves the entire family, children, youth, young adults, parents, grandparents, singles and seniors; community life, pastoral care, social justice, worship and liturgy. With a strong desire to encourage participation and a sense of belonging we are excited about strengthening our ability to be a "household of God" and to build the Body of Christ in the world. We desire to build upon our identity as a welcoming place of parish life in the 21st Century.
To accomplish these goals, we must make critically important and necessary investments in our facilities and infrastructure today. Perhaps our only limitation in meeting our goals is the space we have available now. As you are probably aware, we have reached the point where a new Parish Center and Hall is the most critical and appropriate solution for us to meet the spiritual, physical and social needs of our diverse and growing parish family.
The challenge before us is great and it cannot be met without the willingness of each of us to sacrifice. Not all of us can contribute equally to this campaign but we are all able to sacrifice in proportion to the gifts God has given us. That is the meaning of Christian stewardship.
It is an exciting time to be a part of St. Denis parish. What we are building is not just bricks and mortar, but a legacy of faith for our children and our children's children. We build on the faith of those who built up this Catholic community and provided the facilities we now use. Now it is our turn. Your generosity and sacrifice in this special time on behalf of generations past and generations yet to come will bear witness to the great work we can accomplish.
